Al-Khouli continued: "It is unacceptable that the incident of the killing of Regini, as an excuse to bid on Egypt and undermine its reputation, in the presence of nationals of the Italian side abroad are exposed to similar incidents, and also exposed many Egyptian victims of Italy to disappearances and tragic incidents, Taking the same steps taken by the Italian Parliament, in the interest of the relations between the two countries, which requires in the coming period, to verify the presence of the utmost care on the Italian side, to maintain relations between the two countries, not only from the Egyptian side.
Al-Khouli stressed that international relations are based on interests, and the size of interests governs the extent of concern for relations. Italy's interests in Egypt are in no way less than the Egyptian interests of Italy, in light of Egypt's pivotal role in preventing terrorism from the region.
